"Looking Back at History" Interview
You will produce a time capsule to help preserve history for future generations. The capsule will consist of one or more interviews with parents, guardians and neighbors. They will share an interesting story about a common historical event. You will research that time period to help add context to the story.
Your goal is to creatively use technology to produce a multimedia portrait, capturing that person’s memory to complete the class capsule.

Prepare for the Interview
Organize your information by making a KWL (Know, Want to know, Learned) chart
In the K (Know) column, write everything you already know about this person.
In the W (Want to know) column, write everything you want or need to know about this person.
Brainstorm 5 specific interview questions that require more than a yes or no answer. Examples: What do you recall about the day Martin Luther King Jr. gave his “I have a dream speech”? What was it like in school when you were my age?
Have questions approved by your teacher. This will ensure that you collect all the information you need during the interview.
After the interview, complete the L (Learned) section of the KWL chart by writing everything you learned.
4.
Compile for research data into the presentation template.
5.
Present your findings to the class
